Smart Kids Underweight Screening Package (Aged 6-14 Years Old) 

Underweight Check – Children who are underweight may experience malnutrition, leading to weakness, low immunity, and delayed growth. They might be shorter than peers, have delayed physical development, and experience nutritional deficiencies that can affect brain development and lead to health problems like anemia and gastrointestinal issues. 

Suitable for: 

• School-aged children and teenagers (6-14 years), especially those who are underweight, shorter than peers, or have slow growth. 
• Height below the 10th percentile on the Thai growth chart. 
• Smaller size compared to peers of the same age. 
• Children who consume insufficient food, eat with difficulty, or have a poor appetite.

Examinations

• Physical Examination by a Paediatrician 
• Complete Blood Count 
• Electrolytes 
• Kidney Function Test: BUN, Creatinine (plus eGFR) 
• Thyroid Hormone: TSH, Free T4 
• Vitamin D ( 25-Hydroxy Vitamin D Total) 
• Urine Examination 
• Insulin like Growth Hormone Factor)
• Bone Age (Left Hand) 
• Doctor’s Fee and Hospital and Nursing Services Fee 

Remarks

1. These packages are available online and at the Paediatrics Department 
2. Doctor selection is not available. 
3. Fasting is not required except the Smart Kid: Overweight Screening package that needs fasting for 10-12 hours before examination as blood sugar and lipid levels tests are included in the package. 
4. All packages are inclusive of doctor’s fee, medical supplies, and hospital and nursing services fee. 
5. Expenses for additional consultation, investigation, or treatment other than the package are not included. 
6. Please make an appointment at least 2 days prior to using the services via BNH Cares at LINE @BNHhospital or contact our staff for assistance at LINE @Mbrace 
7. All packages are transferable 
8. Services are available at the Paediatrics Department, 2nd Floor, Zone B, BNH Hospital, Monday – Friday from 7 am. – 7 pm. and Saturday – Sunday from 8 am. – 7 pm.
