Suitable for
Individuals with the following risk factors are encouraged to undergo stroke screening:
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes
- High cholesterol
- Obesity
- Heart disease or arrhythmias
- Smoking
- Family history of stroke
- Persistent brain symptoms, such as chronic headaches or dizziness
Preparation
- Blood testing for sugar and cholesterol level, please do not consume any food and drink including snacks, candies, and chewing gum for 10-12 hours (except sips of water), and do not consume any alcoholic beverages for 72 hours before the test.
- For imaging diagnosis, please notify our staff in advance if you have any of these conditions;
- If you are pregnant or may be pregnant
- If you are allergic to contrast media, seafood, and/or any other medications
- If you are wearing a pacemaker or any medical device (for MRI)
Post-Examination Care Instructions
- Follow your doctor’s instructions and see your doctor for follow-up appointments.
Remarks
- All packages are inclusive of doctor’s fee, medical supplies, and hospital and nursing services fee.
- Expenses for additional consultation, investigation, or treatment other than the package are not included
- All packages are transferable.
- Doctor selection is not available.

Why Are Strokes So Dangerous?
Strokes can result in severe consequences, including:
- Paralysis: Loss of muscle function in parts of the body
- Difficulty speaking: Aphasia or slurred speech
- Cognitive impairment: Memory loss, confusion, or difficulty thinking

Stroke symptoms can appear suddenly and vary depending on the affected area of the brain. They can occur in people of all ages and genders.
Stroke Screening
Early detection of stroke through screening can significantly reduce the risk of severe complications, including paralysis and death. Additionally, screening can help individuals identify and modify lifestyle factors that contribute to stroke risk, such as managing blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels.
Recommended Screening Tests:
- Carotid Ultrasound: This non-invasive test uses sound waves to visualise the carotid arteries, which supply blood to the brain. It helps identify abnormalities like narrowing or blockages.
- Brain and Neck Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI + MRA): This advanced imaging technique uses a magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the brain and neck. It can detect tumors, abnormalities, or other potential stroke indicators.
