Low-dose computed tomography (LCCT) lung cancer screening is the main procedure for screening and detecting Lung Cancer. The machine scans the body and uses low doses of radiation to provide a series of detailed pictures of the lungs. This test may not detect all lung cancers and cannot guarantee that early detection can avoid death. Lung cancer found in early stage will increase your chance for survival through immediate treatment. However, some cancers can recur, even though found early, since they can spread to other parts of the body. When a cancer is spreading, it is difficult to treat and can often result in death.

For smoker, after you stop smoking, this CT scan should be continued to at least 15 years. this procedure can be undergone every year until you are over 75 years old. This can reduced mortality rate = 20 %
